US Endoscopy Announces Full Market Release of BioShield® Biopsy Valves & Irrigation Accessories11.15.2004
Mentor, OH - November 15, 2004 - US Endoscopy introduces
the new BioShield™ Biopsy Valves & Irrigation Accessories. This
line of disposable accessories is designed to minimize leakage and
back-flow of fluid and other biomaterial from the endoscope's
accessory channel.
The BioShield Biopsy Valve & Irrigation Accessories are
disposable, single-use devices that protect caregivers from
unnecessary exposure to biomaterial and other fluid. The BioShield
product offering includes:
- Universal Irrigating Adaptor - a blunt end
adaptor that attaches to luer-lock and slip-tip syringes to
maximize direct, intraprocedural irrigation.
- BioShield Biopsy Valve with Universal Irrigating
Adaptor - engineered to minimize leakage from the biopsy
port, this device features a press fit design with reinforced walls
for effortless instrument passage, and it is compatible with a
variety of different sized instruments.
- BioShield Biopsy Valve with Irrigation Line -
a BioShield Biopsy Valve with the addition of an irrigation line,
allows remote access for irrigation.
The BioShield Biopsy Valves & Irrigation Accessories expand US
Endoscopy's Care & Cleaning line including a variety of unique,
disposable channel brushes, an enhanced valve/control head brush
and two styles of double-ended cleaning brushes. In addition, the
original Endo-Boot® foam protective bumper helps shield endoscopes
from inadvertent damage.
