Mentor, Ohio - October, 27 2009 - US Endoscopy, the only manufacturing facility in Ohio selected, has been named a Top 20 finalist in the annual Industry Week (IW) Best Plants competition. The IW Best Plants competition salutes manufacturing facilities that work continuously to implement process and people improvements, and show great success in many operational areas.

Applicants from across North America took part in the competition, representing a wide-range of product categories. Manufacturers of medical devices, electronic equipment for the defense industry, lighting, furniture and burial caskets are among 2009's top 20 finalists.

"US Endoscopy is a medical device design and manufacturing company. We manufacture millions of devices each year, all on-site in Mentor, Ohio. This is something we are extremely proud of," said Tony Siracusa, US Endoscopy's Chief Operating Officer. "Our selection as a top 20 finalist in the Best Plants competition is an honor and we truly appreciate the opportunity. This will serve as a great benchmarking effort for our Operations team, helping us really understand how we compare to other manufacturing facilities and continue to improve."
